So you’ve started working out and wanted to avoid making the common beginner mistakes. Here are some of the most common ones to keep an eye out for.

1) Rushing the process
What’s that famous saying, “Rome wasn’t built in a day”? Well the same can be said for your body. You must always listen to your body and be patient for it. Give your muscles time to repair and build gradually and in a healthy manner. Be patient.

2) Ignoring form and posture
Look, it’s really simple. There is no point in trying to curl 50s if you can’t do a complete rep, properly. There are way too many people who skip number 1 on this list, “Rushing the process” and wind up making mistake #2 as a result of it. Not only will bad form not get you the results you want but it might even injure you and take you out of the gym for a long period of time.

3) Giving up too soon
It’s going to be hard, and it’s going to be painful. You will be sore, and you’ll even plateau at some point. Plateauing is when you reach the wall of what you can lift. You have two options, keep pushing or quit. DO NOT GIVE UP.

There you have it, 3 easy mistakes you can avoid on your journey. New get back to being busy lifting!
